Guided by Science
Clarity contains ingredients at concentrations and amounts based on high levels of evidence for notable effect from peer-reviewed, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies on humans.
We make Clarity from substances in the human diet, including vitamins, minerals, and herbs. It does not contain substances derived from animals. All ingredients and capsules are vegan.
Bacopa Monnieri is a perennial creeping herb native to wetlands worldwide. Supplementation may improve memory.
Rhodiola Rosea is a perennial flowering plant that grows on sea cliffs and mountains. Supplementation may improve focus and mood.
B Vitamins are essential nutrients that convert food into energy. Supplementation may support healthy brain function.
L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate is a B9 vitamer. Supplementation may be more bioavailable than other B9 vitamers.
Adenosylcobalamin and Methylcobalamin are B12 vitamers. Supplementation may be more bioavailable than either B12 vitamer alone.
Zinc is an essential dietary mineral found in foods like beans, nuts, and whole grains. Supplementation may improve mood.
Thrivous publishes the Clarity formula openly and completely, and strives to improve the formula continuously. This contrasts sharply with the practices of many vendors, who hide their product formulas behind proprietary blends.
Clarity has an open-source formula that identifies all ingredients and their dosages. This is the only way to know what and how much you are using, which is essential to good decisions.
Because science is never finished, we continuously monitor and review new studies, consult with our advisor board of physicians and scientists, and update the Clarity formula accordingly.

Thrivous publishes a certificate of analysis and quality for Clarity, sharing all test results from our suppliers and manufacturing. This is exceptional among vendors, who often withhold test results or make them difficult to find.
Our suppliers subject each ingredient to stringent quality testing, including identity, potency, microbial, heavy metals, and other testing as appropriate prior to release for manufacturing.
Our manufacturing follows strict GMP regulation from the FDA in audited and certified facilities. We monitor production and test finished product to ensure quality prior to release for shipping.
What effects should I expect from Clarity?
Thrivous designed Clarity to improve focus, memory, and mood, and to support brain function. For most people, the effects will become notable but not strong — neither distracting nor overwhelming. We selected each ingredient of Clarity for its nootropic effect based on multiple peer-reviewed, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies on humans. Bacopa may increase memory. Rhodiola may improve focus and mood. Vitamin B Complex may support brain function. And Zinc may improve mood.
How often should I use Clarity?
Thrivous formulated Clarity for consistent daily use — chronic supplementation. Unless otherwise indicated by your physician, we recommend that you take one serving of two (2) capsules daily with a meal, preferably in the morning. To help with consistency and to save money, consider our convenient subscription option.
How soon should I notice the effects of Clarity?
You may notice some improvement to focus and mood within hours, and more improvement within a few weeks of daily supplementation. Improved memory may require two to three months of daily supplementation.
How much Clarity is in each bottle?
Each bottle contains a 30-day supply of Clarity, if taken as directed. Each bottle contains sixty capsules, which is thirty servings of two capsules daily. Improved focus and mood may begin during daily supplementation of the supply in your first bottle. Improved memory may begin during daily supplementation of the supply in your second or third bottle.
How does Thrivous choose a dosage for the Vitamin B Complex in Clarity?
Clinical studies on Vitamin B supplementation, alone or together as B Complex, present a diversity of results that merit ongoing investigation. As Thrivous continues to monitor that investigation, we are presently choosing the dosage for Vitamin B Complex in Clarity based primarily on two parameters: first, 100% RDI (recommended daily intake) as the low end of dosage; and second, 50% UL (tolerable upper intake level) as the high end of dosage. Various governing bodies set RDI and UL with some divergence among them. In our consideration, Thrivous gives the greatest weight to the RDI set by the FDA and the UL set by the Council for Responsible Nutrition. Secondarily, when choosing the dosage for Vitamin B Complex in Clarity, we take into consideration industry dosage medians, as well as dosages used in studies of individual B Vitamins to the extent the results are not ambiguous.
Is Clarity safe?
Yes. Clarity is safe for most people, if taken as directed. In the United States, all of Clarity's ingredients are legal, and the FDA accepts them as dietary supplement components under provisions of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994. Please consult a physician before and during use of dietary supplements.
Is Clarity a stimulant?
Clarity is not a strong stimulant. Although some of its ingredients may provide subtle stimulation, don't expect strong stimulation when using Clarity on its own. We developed Clarity to complement stimulants like Caffeine when you need them. However, we recommend that you use stimulants sparingly, and not as a daily supplement, so as to avoid developing a tolerance and losing the potential benefits of targeted use.
Is Clarity addictive?
No. Clarity is not addictive. We know of no studies associated with ingredients in Clarity that have noted dependencies among their results. We developed Clarity to complement the health benefits of fasting. It should not be difficult to abstain from using Clarity when desired.
Does Clarity have adverse effects?
Clarity is safe. However, a small number of people may experience adverse effects such as diarrhea, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, headache, heartburn, light sensitivity, loss of appetite, nausea, palpitations, rash, stomachache, or touch sensitivity. If you experience any pain or discomfort while using Clarity, stop immediately and consult your physician.
Does Clarity interact with pharmaceuticals?
Clarity may interact with some pharmaceuticals. Major interaction (do not take this combination) may result with cephalexin, chloramphenicol, penicillamine, and phenytoin. Moderate interaction (be cautious with this combination) may result with 5-fluorouracil, acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, amiodarone, anticoagulants, anticholinergics, antidiabetics, antihypertensives, antiplatelets, atazanavir, capecitabine, carbamazepine, cholinergics, cisplatin, cytochrome p450 substrates, escitalopram, fosphenytoin, hepatotoxics, immunosuppressants, integrase inhibitors, methotrexate, p-glycoprotein substrates, phenobarbital, primidone, pyrimethamine, quinolone antibiotics, ritonavir, and tetracycline antibiotics. Minor interaction (be watchful with this combination) may result with amiloride, levodopa, probenecid, thyroid hormone, and tricyclic antidepressants. Please consult a physician before adding any of these pharmaceuticals or Clarity to your regimen.
Does Clarity interact with other nutraceuticals?
Clarity may interact with some nutraceuticals. There are varying levels of evidence for varying magnitudes of interaction (positive or negative) between ingredients in Clarity and nutraceuticals such as Actinidia Chinensis, Alcohol, Apple Pectin, Ashwagandha, Asparagus Racemosus, Aspirin, Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Caffeine, Clitoria Ternatea, Codonopsis Pilosula, Copper, Curcumae Aeruginosae, Curcumin, Green Tea Catechins, Hypericum Perforatum, Iron, Lipoic Acid, Magnesium, Milk Thistle, Nicotine, and Yohimbine. We recommend that you consider Ashwagandha and Curcumin to complement Clarity. We also designed Alpha, Serenity, and occasional Surge to complement Clarity. Please consult a physician before adding any of these nutraceuticals to your regimen.
If I use Clarity, may I also use other Thrivous products?
Yes. We designed Clarity to complement other Thrivous products. For example, take Clarity and Alpha with breakfast, Alpha again with lunch or dinner, Serenity before bed, and occasionally Surge during the day with Clarity or Alpha. Do not take Clarity, Alpha, or Surge before sleep. Only take Serenity before sleep.
May I take more than one serving of Clarity per day?
We recommend that you take one serving of two (2) capsules daily with a meal, preferably in the morning. Some people may benefit from higher doses per day of some ingredients in Clarity, such as Vitamin B Complex and Zinc. We don't know of any studies that support benefit from higher doses per day of Bacopa or Rhodiola. However, we also don't know of any reason that Clarity would be dangerous at two servings per day. Because anything consumed to excess may become dangerous, caution is warranted. If you'd like to take more than one serving of Clarity per day, please consult your physician.
May women who are pregnant or nursing use Clarity?
We do not recommend Clarity for women who are pregnant or nursing. So far as we know, few studies of Clarity's ingredients have included them. However, we also don't know of any reason that Clarity would be dangerous for women who are pregnant or nursing. Caution is warranted. If you are pregnant or nursing and would like to use Clarity, please consult your physician.
May children take Clarity?
We do not recommend Clarity for children. So far as we know, few studies of Clarity's ingredients have included them. However, we also don't know of any reason that Clarity would be dangerous for children. Caution is warranted. If you'd like your child to take Clarity, please consult your physician.
